Accordion

The accordion shutter is a favorite of ours, because it's a self-storing system that is permanently attached to your home. It's a great option for larger openings, such as lanais and sliding doors. It has an easy gliding system for opening and closing from inside or outside your home or business, and it's low maintenance. When not in the closed position, it folds up along the side of the opening without blocking your view. Our international accordion comes with a heavy-duty, store-front lock, which is similar to a deadbolt lock with a hook or a low-profile unimate push lock. It affords maximum strength and security to protect against hurricanes with little effort.

Building Code

Jansen Shutters and Specialties provides accordions at an unlimited width but is limited to a height restraint of 13'. It meets all the large-missile impact tests of the Florida Building Codes (FL10753-R1) and is approved for use in the high-velocity hurricane zone of Miami-Dade County.
