Case Study 07
WORKING WITH THE HOME OWNER'S ASSOCIATION

Challenge
This customer's homeowner's association would not allow metal or aluminum panels to stay up longer than 72 hours. Plus, the customer is a frequent traveler who did not want to worry about shuttering and de-shuttering his home for each trip.

Solution
The association allows clear panels to stay up because they don't take away from the aesthetic curb appeal. We also used an inside mount on all openings to eliminate track mounted excessively past the windows. A customized track was made for the arched windows to follow the top curve. It's hard to even tell that shutters are on the house when driving by. But if you look above the front door, you can see the clear panels. These panels not only meet the association's requirements but also enable this homeowner to travel during the hurricane season without worrying about his investment.
